The Sacraments
Baptism
The sacrament of Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. It is the sacrament of spiritual rebirth through which we are freed from sin and incorporated into the Church, the body of Christ.
First Communion
First Communion is a significant event in the life of a young Catholic. It is the first time they receive the Eucharist, the body and blood of Jesus Christ, and participate fully in the sacramental life of the Church.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacrament through which the Holy Spirit strengthens the baptized and endows them with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is an important step in the journey of faith and a deepening of the grace received at Baptism.
Matrimony
The sacrament of Matrimony is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, symbolizing the union of Christ and the Church. It is a lifelong commitment to love, honor, and support one another in both joyful and challenging times.
Confessions
Confession, also known as the sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation, is the act of acknowledging and expressing sorrow for one's sins. Through the absolution granted by a priest, the penitent is reconciled with God and the Church.
Anointing the Sick
Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing, comfort, and strength for those who are ill or suffering. It brings the grace of God to the recipient, offering spiritual, emotional, and even physical support during times of illness.
